Hayward Rod & Gun Club – Friends of the NRA Banquet 2015<\/strong><\/h4>\nIn case you haven’t heard already, Hayward Rod & Gun Club will be getting a new pistol range<\/span> this year!<\/em><\/p>\nMany thanks to our board of directors, Tom Jones and Tom Braesch, with their hard work of drawing up the plans and submitting a grant request to the NRA, the HRGC received some funds to help us get the ball rolling.\u00a0 On April 11th, members of our club enjoyed an evening filled with good food, drinks and great prizes at the Friends of the NRA banquet in Phillips, WI (hosted at Club 13). The Hayward Rod & Gun Club received a giant check that was accepted by President Tim McGuire and Secretary Shelia Shambaugh for $7000 in the efforts of helping fund range improvement.<\/p>\n
The calling for a pistol range\u00a0separate from our rifle range has been a long time coming. With the increase of interest in shooting sports and self protection, an area dedicated to handgun target practice is needed. The generous donation by the NRA helps us reach the goal but we will still need your support. In upcoming weeks we will designate more opportunities for you to help us bring Hayward Rod & Gun Club’s Pistol Range to fruition. Look for club sponsored raffles, events and a new online payment method of donating to the club. With your help we’ll be up honing our handgun skills in no time!<\/p>\n
