WINTER PELLET LEAGUE
Winter pellet league results were inadvertently omitted from the last newsletter. They are as follows: High Scratch score was 2551 points out of a possible 3000 shot by Al Butterbaugh. High Handicap shooter was Dennis Hedin and Most Improved shooter was also Dennis Hedin (who was shooting pellet pistol for the first time) who raised his average by 36 points over the ten weeks. Congratulations to all of you. Hope to see you next winter.

WORK/CLEAN UP DAY
Saturday, May 10th, we held our annual work day. The weather was decent, a little warm, but we accomplished some raking, trimming and leaf blowing outside and some much-needed sweeping inside. It was disappointing to have so few turn up to work and we could have accomplished much more had we had some more help. Those who participated were: Tim McGuire, Sheila Shambaugh, Chuck Braeger, Kyle Froese, Mel Baughman and Ron Highsmith. A nice chicken dinner was provided. Thanks to you all.

PICNIC AND ELECTION
Sunday, July 13th will be our annual picnic and election meeting. The club will supply the chicken and liquid refreshments. All you have to do is bring a dish to pass and your own place settings. The picnic will start at noon and, after the election meeting, the trap range will be open for anyone wanting to shoot trap and the buffalos will be set up on the rifle range for anyone wanting to shoot. 22 rifle. There will be one director’s position which has to be filled and all the officers’ positions are open. If you want to have a say in the running of this club, now is your opportunity.

SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
This year the Board of Directors decided to award three scholarships instead of the usual two. The recipients are Siri Doyle, Emily Burger and Jake McCusker, all of Hayward.

SAND BAGS ON THE RIFLE RANGE
New sand bags have been made for the rifle range, since a lot of our old ones have disappeared or been worn through. If any of our members are reloading shot shells, we would ask if you would donate you empty shot bags to the club. The cloth ones are very hard to find.

HUNTER EDUCATION
Saturday, July 19th, the Hunter Education class from Stone Lake will be using the ranges from 8 a. m. to noon. The ranges will be open to members starting at noon.

RANGE BRASS
Scrap brass from the range was taken to be recycled and brought in $48.90. The brass from rifle sight in was sold for $11.25. It would have been a lot more except someone helped themselves to the brass after sight in without asking permission.

ITEM FOUND
A pair of glasses was found on the trap range the Tuesday after Memorial Day. The secretary-treasurer has them, so if they belong to you, call Sheila at 715-865-2506 or leave a message at the club number 715-634-4912.

NEW MEMBERS
Since April we have added the following new members: Dan Teague, Mike Bulgrin, Matthew Anderson, Jim Probyn, Lonnie Kennell, Robert Bergh, all of Hayward, and Tiffany Williams of Hayward and Englewood, FL; Mark Marlin of Minnetonka, MN, and Larry Meadors of Burnsville, MN.

DELINQUENT MEMBERS
The following have let their memberships lapse and will be dropped from our membership rolls: Patti Henkelman, Bill Koehler, John Knoop, Ken Brown, Russ Smith, Larry Schiro, Joe Moelter and Fidencio Castorena. Those of you who have a gate key, please return it as soon as possible. Your $5 deposit will be returned upon receipt of the key.

Those whose dues are 60 days past due are: Tim Price, Steven Hedman, Richard Hawes, Donald Cole, Pete Bessette and Jason Berkner.
