SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT
This year’s scholarship recipient is Miss Rachel Radcliffe of Hayward, who plans a career in field biology. We had three applicants, but two of them planned careers that did not meet with the criteria set for our scholarships.
TRAP SHOOTING
If Mother Nature cooperates, we plan to open the trap shooting season on April 19th at 6 p.m. Come out on Tuesday evenings and bring your friends. Everyone is welcome.
.22 LEAGUE
Tom Jones is unable to run the .22 league this season, so as of this writing, no one has come forward to run the shoot and no dates have been set. Check our web site for information as it becomes available.
RANGE USE
As noted in the calendar, the LCO Hunter Education class will be using our rifle and trap range on April 23rd. In addition the LCO small bore rifle club has been given the use of the rifle range on April 27 from noon to 1 p.m. and on Wednesday from April 27 to May 25 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. They have been notified that if there is a .22 league, it will start at 5:30 p.m.
PELLET LEAGUE RESULTS
This year’s pellet league ended on March 29th with a Handicap Match and awarding of trophies. Top scratch shooter this year was Al Butterbaugh followed by Rick Richter in a close second. Most Improved Shooter was Graham Hall, who improved his average by 22 points over the 10 week league. Handicap Match was won by Todd Ruprecht.
NEW MEMBERS
The club has added the following new members since January: Ron Stapf, Vincentiu Andrei, Larry Stillwell, Randy and Kris Neumann and John Hansen, all of Hayward, and Michael Long of Balsam Lake, WI.
PAST DUE MEMBERS
These folks will be dropped from our membership rolls for non-payment of dues for 90 days: Eric Swan, Danie Hille, and Daryl McNutt. If you have a gate key, please return it as soon as possible to receive your deposit.
