THANK YOU
Thanks to Terry Panian for donating a new staple gun for the rifle range. Now all the staples will be compatible.

NEW FEES
I’m sure some of our members are not aware of the increase in fees that was instituted at our July Picnic and Election meeting. Dues were increased to $60 per year effective August 1st, and the gate key fee was increased to $10. In addition, fees for trap shooting were changed to $5 per round for members and $10 per round for nonmembers. The reason for the increases was the fact that the club is applying for a grant from the Friends of NRA to build a new pistol range. The estimated cost for the proposed range is $20,000, of which we have to raise half. Any donations you wish to make will be gratefully accepted.

In addition, we need to raise funds to keep the scholarship account open as well as increased maintenance costs for the buildings and grounds.

ELECTION MEETING
The officers elected at the July meeting remain the same as last year: Tim McGuire as president, Michael Hohm, Vice president, and Sheila Shambaugh, Secretary-Treasurer.
Tom Braesch was nominated and elected to serve a three year term as Director.

SIGHT IN DAYS
As noted in the calendar above, we’ll be sighting in rifles again this year starting on Nov. 15th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fee will be $6 per rifle. As always, we could use some volunteer help from the members. There will be a rifle raffle again. If we don’t sell enough tickets to cover the cost of the rifle, the cash will be split 50/50 with the winning ticket holder.

RIFLE RANGE
Recently there has been damage done to the 100 yard backstop. Someone has used explosive targets down there. No explosive targets are to be used on the backstops or target boards!! Also, shooters have been failing to remove their targets from the target boards when they’re done shooting. Remember, clean up your mess. That’s what the trash cans are for.

CLUB T-SHIRTS
Shirts have been purchased with the new club logo and are available at the clubhouse for $20. There are two colors, dark blue and forest green. We have shirts with pockets and without pockets. Sheila will be at the club on Tuesday nights at 5:30 for trap shooting and to sell you a shirt, also at the general meetings the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30. Call Sheila at 715-865-2506 if you’d like to reserve a shirt.

WINTER PELLET LEAGUE
We will have a winter pellet league again this year. First night of practice will be Tuesday, December 30th, at 6 p.m. The league will run for eleven weeks. Everyone is welcome, both members and non-members. The cost is $2 per night to cover costs of the trophies and pizza on award night.
